Layouts In Photoshop

This is a layout test for the establishing shot. Just experimented with the colours in Photoshop today for a dirty washing effect. This layout has the red ink effect. While the one at the top will be what is shown at the beginning of the animation.

Bible Front Page

Been working on the Bible for hand-ins next week and finally got a full page completed (1 of about 120).  I am really quite chuffed with it actually so here you are, our Bible front page.

Playpark Designs

Blossom Tree

Im currently been looking at blossom trees, especially at the colour of the petals. I have looked at Mulan as its a great source for flowers and trees. 

Colour

Once again I am researching! Its all i seem to do just now. I have been trying to play about with colour, and also trying to keep note of what our town should look like. Any comments or suggestions on what i have done is welcome :) and would be a great help to us!

Background Artwork (in colour)

Here is another painting i have been working on today. I wanted to start thinking about the colours of the animation. In a way we have sort of decided to give the effect that its is like dirty washing, with discoloured backgrounds and tea stains etc, which can give off small hints to the ending. 

First Draft Animatic

So there's been nothing new here for a while, but this will all change as soon as the fourth years let go of the scanners :P  I have a whole load of new character stuff and the final storyboards are all complete and coloured and everything.  They will all go up asap.

Apart from that, myself and Jamie Bell have been working on the animatic for the last 3 weeks and finally got our first draft finished on Friday!  We realised there's a couple things we really should add/tweak so I'll be working on that the rest of this week I think.

Anyway let us know what you think, we missed out getting to show this at our mini peer review so feedback/crits/praise would be most welcome to help us move forward in the right direction.
